Annesbrook's foundations
were set in the 1600's and it has grown through the 18th and 19th
Centuries most notably when the Gothic dining room was added for the
Prince Regent (later George IV).
Annesbrook is set in the Boyne Valley in the heart of archeological
Meath only 7 minutes from Newgrange and less than half an hour from
the Hill of Tara, Monsterboice, Trim Castle, Kells and hundreds of
archeological sites.
Annesbrook is known for it's peace and tranquility yet it is only
40 minutes from Dublin city center and Airport by car. Drogheda has
frequent coastline rail links to Dublin and many buses run between
Dublin and Ashbourne. |

Restoration |

Owing
to the nature of old houses they are high maintenance. Annesbrook
is no exception. The major restoration project at the moment is the
Georgian Banqueting Hall. So far in the restoration the roof has been
replaced. However there is still much more to do. The highly decorated
ceiling needs restoration.
